DOMANDE SULL'ARTE
TUTTO QUELLO CHE C'È DA SAPERE SUL MONDO DELL'ARTE.
WHY SHOULD I PURCHASE ANY ARTWORK?
You should buy a piece of artwork for yourself, for what it makes you feel. For the pleasure of making it part of your life, for the love and the appreciation of beauty.
The search of what you consider beautiful is the first step in your journey through the world of art.
When we hear people talking about contemporary art, we often get the feeling that it's a language that only a certain group of people can speak; a niche for people with a large disposable income.

Our objective is both simple and ambitious; we make art available to everyone and every pocket.

This is the reason why we have created an auction house where all lots are on offer with a zero starting point without reserve price, in other words Basezero.
Anyone can participate to the auction and make a bid: accessibility is the mission of Basezero!
2. HOW DO I CHOOSE A PIECE OF ARTWORK?
A piece of artwork has a great aesthetic value; art can create an immediate connection between the art piece and the person who observes it. We believe that the choice of a piece of artwork should happen only on the basis of how and what this artwork makes you feel; a piece of art becomes part of ourselves, speaks to our souls and about ourselves.

At Basezero we offer the opportunity to choose between many artists, emerging new talents, experienced and recognised ones all the same, and we make it our job to give you all the information required to make you feel comfortable about the purchase you will make. The artistic world often feels quite intimidating to newcomers with the risk, sometimes, of disorienting new potential art enthusiasts.
Basezero wishes to be a disruptive element of this feeling, as it offers information it includes newcomers to the art world and explains art in a simple and inclusive way. Our aim is to make this world more comfortable and welcoming to everyone.
3. WHAT VALUE DOES A PIECE OF ARTWORK HAVE? DOES IT GAIN VALUE WITH TIME?
During Auction the value of a piece of art is defined by the market: the point of contact between demand and offer. Obviously different ratings exist on different artist, the quality of the artwork, the time of production, the size, the base, the technique that is used and many other aspects.

At Basezero we work in the direction that the artwork that you like today may become an investment tomorrow. This is the reason why we work with very specific and defined criteria for the selection of the artwork we present at auction.

The artist that will be displaying their work during the Basezero auctions, fulfil at least one of the following requirements:
1. He/she is a recognised artist, has already left a footprint in art history.
2. He/she has been quoted already; his or her name is already represented in other auction houses, art galleries or art fairs.
3. He/she is an emerging artist, either attending (or has attended), one of the recognised art academies and has recently started to step into this profession.
4. He/she is a public known artist, in other words has already held an exhibition of his/her artwork, has already published some of his/her work in catalogues, makes of art the meaning of his/her life.
4. HOW DO I PARTICIPATE TO AN AUCTION?
With Basezero it is very simple to take part to an auction!
First you need to subscribe by pressing the button Registration, registration process it's a piece of cake; once you have done it, you can view the catalogue, you can select the artwork you like the most and you can already start making your first bids online.

You could start bidding as soon as Basezero publishes its catalogue and can increase your bids up till the moment the auctioneer assigns the lot. Please keep in mind that the successful bidder needs to recognise to BASEZERO the fee for auction rights (20% on top of the successful bidding price).

5. DO ALL LOTS HAVE A ZERO STARTING PRICE?
Yes, our mission is to reduce the distance between the art world and the art enthusiasts.
What would be a better demonstration of this mission, than let the public decide the final value of the object in question?
All of Basezero lots will be put at auction with a zero starting price and no reserve.
